Apply for the visa request, the work permit and make sure that the employee submits a residence permit application 

Keep copies of the work and residence permits in your HR files and follow up to make sure that they’re valid

Make sure that your employee is covered by a national social security system (in the host or home country) and if necessary, expedite their social security registration

Cancel work permits, residence permits and social security registration in countries where this is obligatory
